Gran Canaria:Getting There
Author:
Tom James As foreign as going to a relatively obscure chain of Spanish islands off the coast of Africa may seem, for East Coast sailors, it's actually easier than going to Hawaii. Tickets from major East Coast cities will cost less than going to Hawaii. It's about a seven-hour flight to Madrid (from NYC), then another two to Gran Canaria. Iberia is the main carrier. BetaCar Aeropuerto de Las Palmas (Gando): phone 011-34-92-857-4244.
