Ladies, Let's Go Fishing! Announces More Partners for 2001Ladies, Let's Go Fishing! Announces More Partners for 2001To enable more women to enter the markets of fishing and boating, three new annual partners have joined the award-winning fishing seminar series for women, "Ladies, Let's GO Fishing!"(LLGF). New partners are Mako Marine, Boat U.S. Marine Insurance and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. Held in five Florida locations, "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!", in conjunction with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and presented by Mercury Outboards, is known for its innovative methods of helping women feel comfortable with the sport. Known as the "No-Yelling School of Fishing!", the two-day educational program offers hands-on learning experiences, including safe boat handling, backing a trailer, casting, releasing, net casting, conservation and more. Betty Bauman, Seminar Director, commented, "Support from these three important partners, will help us to expand the program to make the sports of fishing and boating available to women." Mako has provided the "Official Boat," a Mako 2000 Inshore, which will be placed in the water for participants to learn boat handling at each of the seminar's five events. The "Official Boat" will be powered by a Mercury Optimax and be placed on a Magic Tilt trailer. The Marine Industries Association of South Florida is supporting the program to provide growth to the industry through tapping the emerging women's market. Boat U.S. Marine Insurance offers a quality marine insurance program, providing an important service to women who are concerned about safety and protection. According to class surveys, 75% of LLGF participants, who have attended the course from 42 states, own boats. 25% are in the market for a new boat. Bauman says this is an indication of the buying power represented by women. These new partners join others such as Mercury Outboard, Bass Pro Shops, eAngler.com, Penn and Gulfstream International Airlines. One of the seminar's objectives is to build confidence in women by showing how to operate equipment, such as tackle and boats. The next "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!" seminar will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, March 10-11 at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum and Bass Pro Shops. Seminar registration is $95, including meals, T-shirts, goody bags, door prizes and more. The fishing adventure, with fishing tackle, ranges from $12 to $125 in addition. Visit our website at: www.ladiesletsgofishing.com . Share this:More about:
